Raise the Bar® coordinates and implements a series of efforts to ensure Hancock County youth and adults gain exposure to a variety of careers and industries, especially those occupations that align with individual interests, passions, and aptitudes.

Structuring experiences to build relationships and bridge learning gaps

Raise the Bar® and the Hancock County Educational Service Center (ESC) co-lead the Hancock County Business Advisory Council. The Hancock County Business Advisory Council, consisting of over 30 educators and industry representatives, crafted the Hancock County K-12 Career Exposure and Engagement Continuum to intentionally layer experiences so students can meaningfully explore their future opportunities while building relationships with local employers and employees — with the intent of keeping talent local. Raise the Bar® supports K-12 districts with implementing this continuum through a variety of programs.
