Program Overview.
We collaborate with Hancock County agencies helping individuals on the path to gainful employment. Through meaningful assessments, practical guidance, and self-exploration, we want individuals to secure employment in a field and workplace that matches their needs and strengths.
Ideal participants are:
Under- and un-employed adults between 18-45 years of age
Able to independently read and use technology
Supported by mentors, coaches, caseworkers, educators, etc.
Ready for employment

Changing workforce behaviors can be scary and difficult for many people, leading to stress responses and poor coping mechanisms. We want this program to":

Individuals referred to Raise the Bar Hancock County®
Career Assessment Specialist offers appointment availability for assessment
Individual completes digital and hands-on interests, aptitudes, and values assessments
Career Assessment Specialist uses results to suggest fitting industries & occupations
Individual receives online access to Pathful Explore to view employability videos and lessons
Career Assessment Specialist and individual meet to discuss local employers offering ideal careers and workplace cultures
Individual visits suggested employers and considers applying for open positions
Individual applies for employment and/or pursues necessary training
